September 30th is National Truth and Reconciliation Day

The National Day for Truth and Reconciliation is observed September 30th. The day honours First Nations, Inuit and Metis Survivors and their families and communities and ensures that public commemoration of the tragic and painful history of residential schools is a vital component of the reconciliation process.
