There is ongoing support for adoptive parents.
Adoption services don’t end once the child is placed in a new family. There may be times when parents will want to consult FCSLLG for support during the period of adjustment for all family members in addition to helping the family navigate openness arrangements with the child’s birth family. An adoption worker is assigned to work with each adoptive family to support the placement and assist them in utilizing formal and informal services and supports. We also offer support to help children deal with their feelings about their past experiences and adjust to their new life.
