During National Foster Family Appreciation Week

During National Foster Family Appreciation Week, FCSLLG recognizes the important contributions of foster families in our communities & across the province.  When children cannot remain with their primary caregivers and kin placements are not available, foster families provide children & youth with temporary care in a family setting.  We know that children & youth do better when they are placed in homes that are culturally matched and are connected to their families, communities, and identities. We are thankful for our foster families’ unwavering dedication towards the young people in their homes and understand foster families are vital members of the team.  To all foster families in Lanark, Leeds and Grenville —thank you. This week, we celebrate and honour you.
