Board of Directors

The Family and Children’s Services of Lanark, Leeds and Grenville is overseen by a volunteer board of directors, composed of members of the local community.

David Lintaman joined the board in 2021. He has served as Treasurer since 2022. David has a history in banking and in various levels of Government, mostly at the Federal and Territorial levels. David has 3 adult children and he and his wife have lived in Lanark county for more than 30 years. David is a graduate of St. Mary’s University, Halifax (BCOM ’85).

Elizabeth has called Gananoque home for over 25 years with her husband where they raised and successfully ‘launched’ two children. Now retired; they are grandparents to two darling little people, enjoy life’s simple pleasures and travel adventures together. She is a retired Registered Early Childhood Educator from a fulfilling 30-year career in childcare, early learning and family support serving children, youth and families throughout Eastern Ontario. During the last twenty years of her professional career, Elizabeth had the pleasure to be employed in the Children’s Services Department at the United Counties of Leeds and Grenville. Supporting and ‘giving back’ to community are central to her daily life. Serving the greater community as a volunteer Director on the LLGFCS Board of Directors provides opportunities for lifelong learning, as well as a gratifying and challenging opportunity to continue to support families and professionals.

Emily Wimpenny joined the board in 2023 her interest in child welfare was sparked by her work with youth and families in the community with the YMCA. Emily is currently the Director of Regional Operations and Program with the YMCA of Eastern Ontario and has over 12 years of experience working with at risk youth the YMCA in Sudbury, Timmins and Leeds and Grenville. Emily is bilingual and resides in Brockville where she enjoys spending time on the river with her partner and their dog.

It’s with great pleasure I introduce myself to you all. My name is Frank Onasanya. I was born and raised in NIGERIA West Africa and immigrated to Cambridge, United Kingdom (UK) in 1983 where I lived, studied and played football/soccer. I later immigrate to Toronto Ontario Canada in 1990. I got married to my beautiful wife Rhonda in 1999 and moved to Kemptville in 2000 where I currently reside to date. I have 2 older brothers, a younger sister and brother. I have a daughter aged 19, a son aged 17 and five (5) cats, {Dude, Walter, Fufu, Omo and Ola}; they all keep me busy when it comes to care taking. I possess a bachelor’s degree in human resource management, Diploma in Business Management and Hotel Management.

I have worked in Various businesses and organization throughout my living in Canada; currently, I work at the Department of National Defence and have been with the department for 19 years and counting. I established a Soccer Academy in 2002 shortly after moving to Kemptville from Toronto. In 2014-2018, I was elected a Municipal Councillor for North Grenville Municipality. I am passionate about soccer and the sharing my achievements, learning and experience with my community through volunteerism, developing and delivering robust soccer training programs that ensures the safety and wellbeing of children, youth and adult in my community. I take pride in providing guidance, training, development and support that strengthen individuals’ and family dynamics.

My greatest strengths that I bring to FCSLLG are my education, experience, knowledge and ability to maintain personal/mental wellbeing and not allowing my work, duties, and volunteerism to interfere with my home life.

In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my wife, daughter, son and our cats, going to the gym, playing and coaching Soccer. I look forward to a great rewarding and successful journey that is ahead, with you all.

Jennifer has served on the Board of Directors of Family and Children’s Services of Lanark, Leeds and Grenville for the past year. She is on the Queen’s University Council, is a Director of the Board for RNJ Youth Services and is a Committee Member with the Municipal Drug Strategy for the Town of Gananoque.

Jennifer holds a Master of Education in Cognitive Studies from Queen’s University and has been a child and youth advocate as an educator for 28 years. She is a principal with the Upper Canada District School Board, works for Queen’s University and is a University Supervisor with SUNY Potsdam University.

Jennifer is dedicated to, and passionate about, the well-being of children, families, and communities. She lives on the St. Lawrence River with her husband and two children who are currently in post-secondary programs.

A. M. (Mike) Andrews joined the board in 2017. He served as Treasurer from 2018 to 2020, and President since 2021. His interest in child welfare was sparked by his grandmother whose long career included serving as executive director of three different children’s aid societies. Mike has held senior financial positions in the public and private sectors and for more than 20 years has owned, together with his wife, a consulting company specializing in financial regulation and supervision. Mike and his wife have three adult children and reside in rural Leeds and Grenville.

Sonya Jodoin has been heavily invested in the communities of Leeds & Grenville through her professional career and involvement in various community boards and lead tables. She was a counselor with youth until she became involved with Victim Services of Leeds and Grenville during its early years in 2005, holding the role of Executive Director from 2009 until 2022. During that time, she received both local and provincial awards for her innovative work in addressing service gaps in rural environments. She is currently the Chair for the Office for Victims of Crime which is an advisory board to the Attorney General of Ontario and has been a member of the Brockville Police Service Board since 2015.

Steve Vaughan returned to the Board of FCSLLG in 2019 having previously served as President as well as a director through the amalgamation process with the legacy Children’s Aid Society of the County of Lanark and the Town of Smiths Falls. Steve’s interest in child welfare developed from growing up in a household that provided Foster Care for dozens of Children and Youth in both Nova Scotia and Lanark Leeds and Grenville. Steve resides in Carleton Place Ontario with his wife of 27 years and is the VP of Operations for a high-tech electronics Company. Steve has adult twins who both recently graduated from University and spends much of his spare time at his cottage on a small lake in Lanark Highlands.

Jane joined the FCSLLG Board of Directors in 2022. She has been married to Harold for 46 years, 3 adult daughters: Allison, and twins Elizabeth and Laura. Janes resides in Leeds Grenville jurisdiction, in her grandmother’s renovated cottage on the St. Lawrence. She recently retired as a Senior Leader after 30 years in Public Health. She worked collaboratively with the health and social services sector through Every Kid in Our Communities Coalition, Lanark County Child and Youth Services Collaborative and United Way Leeds & Grenville. Jane has experience in administration and leadership, including human resources and budget management and the ability to understand the distinct needs of individuals and communities using an inclusion mindset. She also understands that diversity is our strength, and that inclusion is what we aim to achieve in our communities, health care and social service settings. She is a  critical thinker and demonstrates excellent problem solving skills. Values teamwork, collaboration, professionalism, and has a strong work ethic.

I. M. (Isabelle) Sauve joined the board in 2020. Her interest in child welfare was sparked by her work as a police officer. Isabelle has held various roles in law enforcement for over 25 years. She is currently the Sergeant of the Integrated Investigative Unit for major crimes with the Nunavik Police Service. She is also a Ph.D. candidate studying in Human Rights. Isabelle resides in Tay Valley Township.
